Become a Tutor

Our tutors offer 90-minutes of weekly instruction to guide learners to greater English-language proficiency. Volunteer Literacy Tutors serve as teachers, mentors, coaches and facilitators to assist learners in advancing in English and achieving their personal life goals. All instruction is in English. Knowledge of another language is not required.

Once volunteers begin tutoring, they are strongly encouraged to participate in at least one professional development opportunity per year.
