Sister Jane Zimmerman is an Adrian Dominican Sister. She is semi-retired, and continues her ministry as a spiritual director. Sister Jane joined the board in 2022 as an Adrian Dominican presence as well as a spiritual presence.
An aspect of the mission that excites her is empowerment. Literacy not only empowers someone by providing skills; it gives a huge boost to one’s sense of self. When we feel good about ourselves, nothing can stop us.
Sister Jane loves to try creative recipes, both savory and sweet. She enjoys walking in and exploring the many parks in and around Chicago. Fishing is something she still enjoys and has enjoyed since her youth.
